When we decided to build in Taupo we were keen to use a local building company and after some investigation settled on Haimes Building. From the outset we were very comfortable with Mark and Tanya and after seeing some of his other work were delighted to select them as our trusted partner. Because we were remote and were building something a little different as our holiday home, we were looking for someone to take control and communicate openly in a timely manner with the myriad of decisions that these projects require.

We found Mark and also Phil ( who guided the day to day work ) very accommodating, available, proactive in suggestions that could improve the project, and forthcoming with many ideas that have been incorporated. The quality of their tradesmen and local sub contractors was terrific which given the amount of detail in this build was critical. On our many visits the site it was tidy, organised and it was evident to us that we had a very professional group of people who took enormous pride in the project.

This extended to the many conversations with our architects Belinda and Fraser from Fraser Cameron Architects where we were impressed with Mark or Phil's attitude to find solutions across every aspect of the build in order to meet our requirements. This carried on even after we had moved in with detail that extended to the hanging of art and ideas throughout that just make it work perfectly for us. The house invokes extremely positive comments from everyone that visits and we are simply delighted with the final outcome which we have no doubt reflected the trusted relationship we formed with Mark, Phil and the team.
